Nealis Tech highlights the strategic value of AI at the 9th UPV Industry 5.0 Conference

The Universitat Jaume I (UJI) held its annual ceremony yesterday to recognize the institution's sponsoring and collaborating entities. This event, which takes place every five years, was held this year as part of the commemoration of the 35th anniversary of the public university in Castellón. The gathering, held in the Paranimf auditorium, brought together approximately 250 representatives from the university, institutional, and business sectors.
In this context, the UJI granted an extraordinary recognition to Nealis for its history of continued collaboration with the University, highlighting a solid and sustained relationship over time, based on a shared vision of the role of knowledge, innovation and talent transfer as drivers of social progress.
The award was accepted by Myriam Gimeno, CEO of Nealis, and Elena Llopis, a board member of the company, who expressed their gratitude for a distinction that recognizes a collaboration that goes beyond sponsorship and has materialized in stable initiatives in the field of teaching, research and innovation.
During her speech, Myriam Gimeno emphasized that “the relationship with Universitat Jaume I has not been occasional or circumstantial, but rather the result of a shared strategic commitment. From this common vision emerged projects such as the Facsa Chair of Innovation in the Integrated Water Cycle, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary and was a pioneering initiative in the Valencian Community and the second of its kind in Spain.”
The Intur Tourism Classroom was also highlighted, aimed at promoting a tourism management model based on economic, social and environmental sustainability, and conceived as a space for research, training and dissemination that connects the challenges of the sector with the university environment.
The company wanted to give special recognition to the involvement of university professors and research teams, who were credited with playing an essential role in building bridges between the university and the business world, and reaffirmed the commitment of Nealis and the group's companies to continue focusing on alliances as the core of their future strategy.
Along with the special recognition given to Nealis, the UJI also honored other entities for their support of the institution. In the strategic entity category, the following was recognized: FacsaThe award was accepted by its CEO, José Claramonte. In the collaborating entities category, other companies in the group were also recognized, such as Fobesa, Intelier, and Portsur, whose awards were accepted by Juan Pablo Mateo, Iker Llano, and Javier Herrera, the respective CEOs of the companies.
The event also included a second special recognition for El Periódico Mediterráneo, on the occasion of its centenary. As a token of gratitude, Universitat Jaume I presented the honored organizations with a commemorative piece crafted from steel, representing the institution's strength, rigor, and forward-thinking approach.
