Obremo, one of the companies awarded the contract for adapting infrastructure for the expansion of 5G technology at Vantage Towers

Vantage Towers, a leading European telecommunications tower company with 82.000 sites in ten countries, has awarded to Obremo, a company of Grupo Gimeno, among other collaborating companies, the performance of civil works for the adaptation of the mobile network infrastructure necessary for the installation of 5G technology.

Specifically, the Telecommunications area of ObremoIn its aim to consolidate its role as a collaborator in projects that promote sustainable digitalization and new uses of the Internet of Things, it will adapt more than 400 sites owned by Vantage Towers throughout the national territory until March 2023.

The agreement will materialize mainly in the installation of additional masts, expansion of contracted power, installation of radomes or expansion of rectifiers in those cases where it is necessary.

This will facilitate the deployment of 5G technology in Spain, helping to improve connectivity in urban and rural areas, one of Vantage Towers' main objectives in the country. All of this will be achieved sustainably thanks to a digital transformation process that reduces network energy consumption by 90%.
