Myriam Gimeno shares Nealis's vision on equality at the 10th Colloquium on Women, Science and Business

Industry 5.0 is advancing, driven by Artificial Intelligence, a technology that has moved beyond being a future promise to become a cross-cutting element already impacting the productivity, efficiency, and decision-making of organizations. However, this rapid adoption is also generating internal tensions, forcing companies to balance innovation, control, and security in an increasingly complex environment.
This was one of the central themes of the 9th Conference on Industry 5.0 and Artificial Intelligence, held at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), a leading forum that brought together experts from the technological, industrial and business fields.
In this context, Guillermo Berlanga, director of Innovation De Nealis had a prominent role in the panel dedicated to the practical application of Artificial Intelligence in industry, where he highlighted the role of AI as a strategic lever for business and internal efficiency in organizations.
During his presentation, Berlanga explained how Nealis is approaching the integration of AI with a corporate vision aligned with its business strategy. In this regard, he highlighted the development of proprietary platforms for key processes such as tendering, as well as the application of AI-based solutions in water management, focused on leak detection, quality control, and improving operational efficiency.
Beyond use cases, he stressed the importance of accompanying the technology with an internal training strategy, with the aim of extending AI knowledge and capabilities to the entire organization and preventing its use from being limited to isolated or departmental initiatives.
The panel in which Berlanga participated also addressed how Artificial Intelligence is being implemented on the factory floor and generating real impacts on production processes. It highlighted that the technological maturity achieved allows progress from pilot projects to solutions that improve automation, efficiency, and decision-making, provided there is a solid foundation of data, connectivity, and security.
With its participation in this forum, Nealis reinforces its position as a key player in driving applied innovation, demonstrating that Artificial Intelligence, when well governed and oriented towards clear objectives, can become a real engine of transformation and competitiveness for organizations within the framework of Industry 5.0.
