Foz promotes a strategic modernization of its urban water cycle with a new management contract

Approximately 100 volunteers went to Pinedo beach (Valencia) last Sunday to participate in the first beach cleaning day. Casa Intur y Aquarama, companies of Grupo Gimeno, organized in collaboration with the NGO Xaloc.
The aim of this cleanup day was not only to protect and clean the coastline, but also to raise awareness about plastic pollution and its significant impact on the ecosystem. In fact, as reported by Xaloc, of the 70 kg of waste collected, more than 40 kg were plastic, representing nearly 60%.
After the cleanup on Pinedo beach, all the volunteers reflected on the solutions and alternatives that can be adopted to reduce plastic consumption. “Each full bag reminds us of the collective power to generate positive change in our environment,” highlighted Rocío Balmaseda, deputy director of Aquarama.
Likewise, María Pascual, director of Casa Intur, indicated that “environmental volunteering is an awareness and outreach tool with which, in addition to helping conserve the environment, we get closer as a team, strengthen our bonds and reaffirm our commitment to sustainability and environmental conservation.”
