Intur Restauración Colectiva gives a second life to the oil used in its kitchens for a good cause

Within its social and environmental commitment and its character as a Socially Responsible Company, Intur Collective Restoration Intur has once again participated in the Aceite Solidario (Solidarity Oil) initiative, representing all the hospitality and tourism companies of the Intur Group. This project, promoted by the NGO Rastro Solidario, saw Intur collect and donate over 3.000 kg of used oil to raise funds for social causes.

Rastro Solidario – a non-governmental development organization – is committed to new forms of economic activity based on waste prevention and management. Through a process of collecting and treating used cooking oil from centers such as the Inturfood central kitchen, Intur Hotels, and the Aquarama water park, the NGO produces and sells biodiesel. The profits are used to implement social programs, particularly those focused on raising awareness about intellectual disability and supporting development cooperation.

This year, the financial endowment obtained after the donation of oil from the companies of Grupo Intur will be allocated to Rastro Solidario and the Fundació Dany Cerebral ATENEU Castelló, in the same way that in 2019 it was allocated to the Fundació Síndrome de Down of the city.

As a result, Intur It reaffirms its social and environmental commitment, in line with the fulfillment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 13 and 17, relating to climate action and social partnership, respectively.
