Foz promotes a strategic modernization of its urban water cycle with a new management contract

Sustainability and solidarity are two key values in the strategy of Casa Inturwho has been actively involved in the Solidarity Oil initiative for years. Thanks to their involvement, the company It has managed to reduce the environmental impact of used oil and contribute to social projects that improve the quality of life of vulnerable groups.
During 2024, thanks to this initiative, Inturfood prevented 2.855 kilos of used cooking oil from being discharged into the sewer system. Had it not been recycled, this amount would have contaminated approximately 2.855.000 liters of water, the equivalent of more than one Olympic-sized swimming pool. This action aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), promoting the protection of water resources.
Furthermore, by transforming used oil into biodiesel, the company has contributed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Specifically, it has prevented the emission of almost 6 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere, an amount that 285 trees would absorb over a year, in line with SDG 13 (Climate Action).
Beyond its environmental contribution, Inturfood has demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility by contributing financially to different solidarity projects through Aceite Solidario, specifically to the Fundació Dany Cerebral ATENEU CASTELLÓ and the Academia Aprende Sin Barreras.
The Solidarity Oil initiative, involving more than 120 companies and 15 beneficiary NGOs, has recycled over 800.000 kilos of used oil and allocated more than €240.000 to social projects. Casa Intur's participation reinforces its commitment to a responsible business model that generates a positive impact on the environment and society.
