Nealis presents 'Nealis Innovation Hub', its corporate commitment to driving shared progress

The night of San Juan once again became one of the biggest celebrations of the year in Valencia, with nearly 80.000 people gathering on the beaches to welcome summer. An event of this magnitude presented, once again, a significant logistical challenge in terms of cleaning and environmental conservation, which was successfully met thanks to the deployment organized by Fovasa Environment and Fobesa.
On Malvarrosa and Cabañal beaches, work began in the afternoon, with a team of 18 Fovasa Medioambiente workers distributing firewood and carrying out initial cleanup tasks. The operation was supported by a shuttle boat, a street sweeper, and an inspection service. Additionally, to encourage public participation in coastal maintenance, 5.000 bags were distributed to those present.
During the night, the operation reached its peak, with a total of 186 professionals deployed on the ground. Resources used included two waste collection tankers, four ATVs, a gator, two tractors with beach cleaning equipment, seven mechanical loaders, a logistics shuttle, seven sweepers, four water tankers, three hooks, ten 25 m³ containers, two 12 m³ containers, 200 120-liter containers, and 21 1.100-liter containers. The following morning, three additional water tankers and ten more workers were added to ensure the beach returned to its normal condition as quickly as possible.
On Burriana beach, Fobesa activated an operation consisting of two backhoe loaders, a dumper truck, five operators for manual beach cleaning, four for the removal of bonfires, six for the cleaning of promenades, a 5 m³ sweeper, a tanker truck with a laborer and 20 reinforcement containers.
Meanwhile, in Oropesa, the service started at 4 a.m. and lasted until 13 p.m., and included two mixed machines, two tractors, two dumper trucks, five operators for manual beach cleaning, three for bonfire collection, six for promenade cleaning, two sweepers, a tanker truck with a worker, a pressure washer and two brigades with a dump truck.
In Benicàssim, Fobesa focused its work on the seafront promenades, with a team that started its day at 6 a.m. and finished at 13 p.m. The operation consisted of 30 reinforcement containers of 1.100 liters, a flatbed truck with driver and worker, three teams of two operators, three Piaggio scooters with worker, two sweepers (of 5 m³ and 2 m³), a tanker truck with driver and worker and a pressure washer with operator.
The coordinated effort of Fovasa Medioambiente and Fobesa, along with the responsibility shown by many of the attendees, ensured that this symbolic night for thousands of people passed safely and with respect for the environment. The effectiveness of the operation once again highlighted the experience and commitment of both teams, who were able to restore normalcy to beaches and promenades in record time after one of the busiest nights of the year.
