Given the high number of visitors expected in Cheste last weekend for the MotoGP Grand Prix, FOVASA The Environment Department and the local council deployed a special street cleaning and urban solid waste (MSW) collection operation in the Valencian municipality.
Nearly thirty people were in charge of maintaining the town's urban center in adequate condition, and equipment consisting of two rear-loading trucks for collection each day, two sweepers for street cleaning, two water tanks and a high-pressure team.
Similarly, with the aim of meeting the cleaning needs throughout the Cheste Circuit grounds during the MotoGP Grand Prix, FOVASA Facility Services provided the organization with 140 cleaners and recycling bins were installed at specific locations. It is also worth noting that, to meet the security needs of the Grand Prix, the company deployed a total of 160 security guards at entrances, pit boxes, grandstands, and VIP lounges.
The event drew over 145.000 people across the three days, with 76.000 attending on Sunday alone. This figure represents the second-highest attendance for a MotoGP race Sunday in 2021, surpassed only by the Austrian Grand Prix, which attracted 80.000 spectators.
