Gimecons carries out the sealing of the last cell of the Onda landfill

Pedreguer is moving forward every day, hand in hand with Fovasa towards the optimal management of their waste through a highly efficient model that allows for absolute control of services and, thus, their optimization.
This commitment to maintaining the municipality in perfect condition has been reflected in an article published on the digital news site lamarinaalta.com. Among other points, the article indicates that thanks to the company's oversight, a total of 73 penalty proceedings have been initiated for violations of the ordinance regulating street cleaning and waste management in 2022, which could result in fines of up to €6.010 for repeat offenses.
The most important aspect of these sanctions is that they allow the problem to be located and resolved as soon as possible, since each file reports, among other things, the location of the infraction, the date of the infraction, the date the file was started, the type of sanction, as well as the article of the Ordinance that was infringed.
Specifically, 56 of the 76 fines were issued for the misuse of the Collection Points. These points are facilities distributed throughout Pedreguer, monitored and controlled by the Town Hall, and their purpose is to provide residents who do not live in the town center with a place to separately dispose of the waste they generate in their homes. Some are locked and can only be opened with a personal and non-transferable code; however, some remain open, occasionally leading to accumulations of waste.
Therefore, given the problems that have arisen at some open Contribution Points, Fovasa has decided, together with the City Council, to close them - in view of the good results obtained in other areas - and to facilitate access through an identification code.
