Nealis Tech adapts the ceramic industry of Castellón to the new water regulations

Portsur Castellón SAThe bulk terminal at PortCastelló is currently receiving the MV SBI CARIOCA, a bulk carrier transporting 80.000 tons of clay from Ukraine.
This is the largest shipment, both of this type of material and other bulk cargo, that the Port of Castellón has ever received. This milestone makes this unloading operation an unprecedented event and consolidates the port's position as a strategic partner for the provincial ceramics sector.
The clay arrived aboard the bulk carrier SBI Carioca, a 229-meter-long and 32,26-meter-wide vessel. The material will be used to supply the tile industry in Castellón.
In addition to having a draft of 16 meters, dimensions that facilitate the execution of this type of operation, in recent years the facility has carried out various improvements and investment projects to facilitate large volume unloading.
Specifically, only during the last year has A third mobile crane was moved to the South Dock and a new bollard has been installed which has allowed the docking capacity to be extended by 40 meters, reaching 540 linear meters.
In addition, Portsur has more than 135.000 square meters of yards and warehouses, two ecological hoppers and five conventional hoppers which, besides confirming the company's leadership as a logistics company specializing in the handling and storage of cargo, will allow it to face with guarantees the increase in traffic expected for the current year.
