Foz promotes a strategic modernization of its urban water cycle with a new management contract

Portsur, the bulk terminal of PortCastelló, reaffirms its leadership as a strategic partner of the provincial ceramic industry with a new major operation, which, on this occasion, has consisted of the unloading of the second largest bulk cargo in the history of PortCastelló: 78.925 tons of clay from Ukraine that will be destined for the tile sector.
An operation that began this Wednesday and will conclude next Saturday thanks to the uninterrupted work of the company's team, which already received at the beginning of the year the largest bulk carrier ever received, loaded with 80.000 tons of clay also from the Eastern European country.
Specifically, it is the MV Theresa Jiangsu. A bulk carrier, consigned by Gimeno Logística Portuaria, measuring 229 meters in length, 32,2 meters in beam, and with a draft of 14,4 meters upon arrival, it was able to dock at Portsur thanks to the terminal's more than 540 linear meters of quayside, which also boasts a draft of 16 meters and over 130.000 m³ of storage space.2 of surface area with fields and warehouses, dimensions that facilitate the execution of this type of operation.
In recent years, the company has undertaken several upgrades and investment projects in its equipment and facilities to enable large-volume unloading and to confidently handle the increased traffic. These improvements will soon be complemented by an expansion of the south dock, extending the quay's linear meters from 540 to 750, allowing for the simultaneous operation of three vessels the size of the MV Theresa Jiangsu.
