Torreblanca digitizes water management with Facsa technology to improve service efficiency

The Torreblanca Town Council has launched a new digital water management system that allows for continuous monitoring of the water supply and sanitation networks in Torreblanca and Torrenostra. Developed in conjunction with Facsa, the company that operates the municipal service, this initiative improves understanding of the infrastructure's operation, facilitates more proactive maintenance, and enhances the quality of service provided to residents.

The project, financed through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of the Valencian Government, has involved an investment of 287.503,23 euros and represents a new step towards a more efficient, sustainable and intelligent management of the integral water cycle.

An intelligent system to anticipate incidents

The new digital infrastructure provides continuous information on key parameters such as flow rate, pressure, and water quality at different points in the network. Thanks to this constant monitoring, technical teams can detect abnormal behavior, locate potential leaks more quickly, and act before incidents affect service.

The mayor of Torreblanca, Tania Agut, emphasized that "digitizing the water cycle doesn't just mean incorporating technology, but rather making better use of information to provide a safer, more efficient, and more accessible service to the public." She also noted that having real-time information will allow for a reduction in water losses and improve the ability to respond to any incidents.

Greater control over water supply and quality

The project incorporates 16 flow control points and 16 pressure measurement points distributed throughout different sectors of the municipality. This information allows for a more precise understanding of the network's behavior and the optimization of its operation.

The project also strengthens the monitoring of drinking water quality through three new continuous monitoring points. In addition, three other monitoring systems have been installed in the sewage network, improving wastewater surveillance and facilitating the early detection of potential spills.

All the information collected is integrated into a centralized platform from which the City Council has a global and up-to-date view of the state of the networks of Torreblanca and Torrenostra, facilitating data-driven management and prevention.

Digitalization allows for a more reliable supply service, minimizes interruptions, streamlines maintenance work, and optimizes the use of a resource as strategic as water.

"Our priority is to conserve every drop of water and ensure that Torreblanca and Torrenostra have infrastructure prepared to meet current and future needs," Agut explained. "This project allows us to move towards more responsible management of an essential resource and improve a service that is vital to the daily lives of the entire population."

Facsa promotes the digital transformation of the integrated water cycle

The project was developed in partnership with Facsa, a company specializing in integrated water cycle management and the concessionaire for the municipal water supply and sewage service. Thanks to Facsa's expertise in implementing digital solutions for water infrastructure, the municipality is moving towards a smarter, more efficient, and more resilient management model.

With this action, Torreblanca incorporates new technological tools to optimize water management, strengthen the sustainability of its infrastructure and improve the quality of service received by citizens.
