Nealis Infraestructuras boosts its construction and real estate activity with more than 80 active projects

Innovation and knowledge transfer were once again at the center of the debate at the UPV Innovation Forum 2026, held at the science park of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, a meeting that brought together nearly 300 professionals from the field of research, entrepreneurship and the Valencian R&D&I ecosystem.
In this context, Nealis Innovation Hub participated in the roundtable discussion entitled “What do companies think about when they talk about innovation?”, a forum for reflection aimed at analyzing how the business sector addresses the challenges of innovation and technology transfer. The session featured José Guillermo Berlanga, director of Nealis Innovation Hub, who shared his perspective with Juana Frontela, director of the Moeve Center for Innovation in Energy Transition. The roundtable was co-organized by the LAB Mediterráneo Foundation.
During the meeting, the importance of strengthening collaboration between universities and companies to accelerate the arrival of innovation to the market was highlighted, a key aspect to improve the competitiveness of the productive fabric and generate economic and social impact.
The Forum also served as a platform to present the “UPV Innovation” report, prepared by the university's Knowledge Transfer Office. According to the document, in 2025 the UPV reached a record figure of 119 million euros in revenue from R&D&I projects, almost three million more than its previous all-time high recorded in 2023 and ten million more than in 2024.
By participating in this forum, Nealis Innovation Hub reaffirms its commitment to open innovation and to collaboration between business, universities and research centers as a driving force to promote technological solutions with an impact on society.
