Obremo renews the Medium Voltage Overhead Line in the Pinatell Urbanization of Bocairent

Nealis continues to move forward steadily with its roadmap. Following the establishment of its corporate holding company, the launch of its strategic plan, and its new brand and business architecture, the group is now focusing on one of its key pillars: innovation. The Nealis Innovation Hub aims to develop a global innovation model, reinforcing its collaborative vision and its commitment to developing solutions with a real impact on cities and society.
The presentation event held in Valencia brought together leading figures from the innovation, entrepreneurship and science sectors, such as Damià Tormo, Managing Partner of Columbus Ventures and winner of the Rei Jaume I Business Revelation Award 2025, Lucia Calabria, Deputy Director of Valencia Innovation Capital and Marta Chillarón, Director of Fundación Lab, among other relevant agents.
A hub to structure and scale innovation
Enrique Gimeno, President of Nealis, has emphasized that the creation of the Nealis Innovation Hub represents “To boost and scale a path we were already traveling, consolidating an innovation model that is part of our way of being and that we now want to take further, with more structure, more alliances and more real impact.”
Nealis Innovation Hub is the evolution of work developed over the past few years by a team of more than 70 people, during which Nealis has consolidated intrapreneurial initiatives such as IoTsens and Hydrens, as well as established collaborations with universities and technology centers through its three endowed chairs, university classroom, and applied research programs. However, the new hub represents a qualitative leap: unifying, organizing, and strengthening all these initiatives within a common, more robust framework focused on addressing urban challenges through experimentation, technology, and co-creation.
As Guillermo Berlanga, Nealis's corporate director of Innovation, shared, 'The hub It will be structured around three main dimensions that will shape the group's innovative strategy. The first, Explore, aimed at observing trends, generating knowledge, promoting applied research, and fostering technology transfer. The second, Grow, focused on strengthening the company's innovative culture, sharing best practices, and promoting new initiatives and internal spin-offs. The third, Connect, aimed at strengthening collaboration with startups, technology companies and other ecosystem players to co-create and scale solutions.'
In addition, the hub will integrate the Nealis 'sandbox', a differentiating asset, given its diversified nature, which allows testing technologies and solutions in real environments thanks to the group's infrastructures, from hotel spaces or coworking spaces to water infrastructures, port environments or vehicle fleets, thus accelerating the validation and maturation of partner projects in the ecosystem.
Voices from the sector
The launch of the hub comes at a time of growth and maturity within Valencia's innovation ecosystem. In this regard, Lucía Calabria, Deputy Director of Entrepreneurship at Valencia Innovation Capital, highlighted the city's position as a strategic hub for innovation and entrepreneurship, its ability to attract companies, talent, and investment, and the crucial role of public-private partnerships in consolidating projects with real impact.
The day included a program of talks featuring leading institutions from the Valencian, national, and international ecosystems, all linked to technological innovation, applied research, and entrepreneurship. These meetings fostered shared reflections among organizations such as Plug&Play, Lanzadera, KM Zero, Ainia, Eurecat, Universitat Jaume I, Capsa Food, and Moeve—entities with which Nealis has maintained an active and collaborative relationship for years. The discussions highlighted the importance of collaborative models that combine corporate experience and entrepreneurial creativity, the role of technological experimentation, the transfer of knowledge from research to practical applications, and the keys to driving new solutions in strategic areas such as water management, the bioeconomy, smart cities, and digitalization.
The event concluded with a speech by Myriam Gimeno, CEO of Nealis, who has highlighted that “This hub aims to unite all our potential, forming part of this mechanism whose common goal is to contribute to positioning the Valencian Community as a global hub for attracting talent, investment and partners in which to grow.”
Horizon 2030 and strategic objectives
Nealis Innovation Hub was launched with an ambitious roadmap looking ahead to 2030, with clear goals: to develop 50 R&D projects, secure €45 million in innovation investment, launch 15 collaborative programs with startups, and create 8 internal spin-offs. Furthermore, this same roadmap will define the venture capital model at the corporate level.
This boost is part of Nealis' new strategic project presented a few weeks ago, which sets as its medium-term goal reaching 1.000 billion euros in revenue, allocating 300 million to investments and generating more than 3.000 new jobs, until forming a team of 10.000 people.
