Grupo Gimeno wins the Levante-EMV and Banco Sabadell Business and Sustainability Award in the Environment category

More than 70 companies submitted their applications this year for the second edition of the Business and Sustainability Awards. Lift-EMV and Banco Sabadell. These awards are intended to recognize the best practices of companies in the Valencian Community in terms of Governance, Social Responsibility and the Environment.

In this frame, Gimeno Group It has won the award in the Environment category, in recognition of its commitment to the care and safeguarding of the environment, materialized in the efficient management of resources under the axis of the circular economy and sustainability.

Enrique Gimeno, president of the business group, accepted the award yesterday at a ceremony held at the Banco Sabadell Business Hub in Valencia. In his acceptance speech, he began by expressing his gratitude for this recognition, which, as he stated, “highlights our commitment to sustainable development and motivates us to continue working in this direction, extending our commitment to society and acting as agents of change in the energy transition and decarbonization.” He added that “Grupo Gimeno is addressing this challenge by investing in research, digitalization, and innovation, with a highly professional team dedicated to the company's purpose.”

Similarly, during his speech, he asserted that we are “at a critical juncture for future generations, as we face a global climate crisis that demands our active participation, requiring us to be more aware and responsible as a society.” He continued, “We must confront this challenge together, making achievable commitments to the 2030 Agenda.” To this end, he concluded, “Grupo Gimeno is venturing into new, forward-looking sustainable sectors, in line with the needs and requirements of society and the changing times.”

On the other hand, the well-known footwear brand Gioseppo won the award - a solid olive wood totem - in the Social Responsibility category, while Grupo Sorolla Educación and TM Grupo Inmobiliario shared the award in the Governance category.
