Gimecons carries out the sealing of the last cell of the Onda landfill

The LAB Mediterráneo Foundation, the new project of the Valencian Association of Entrepreneurs (eTA), has already begun its activity, counting on the support of 23 associates and 24 founding patrons, among whom is Gimeno Group.
The Foundation—of which Myriam Gimeno, CEO of the Group, will be a key member as a member of the Executive Committee—aims to position the Valencian Community as a leader in entrepreneurship, innovation, technology, and research. This will be achieved through four main areas of focus: fostering the creation and attraction of technology startups, promoting support for companies in non-technology sectors within the Valencian Community to accelerate their digital transformation, contributing to increased private investment in innovation and R&D, and helping to boost research.
Among the planned activities to achieve these objectives, the Foundation will hold informative sessions on entrepreneurship, open innovation, technology, and the digital transformation of traditional businesses. To this end, the Foundation will rely on the work and involvement of its founding trustees, foster collaboration among business leaders, and support existing initiatives in its four areas of focus.
During his address to the AVE Board of Directors and founding trustees, AVE President Vicente Boluda emphasized that “our region and our country face major challenges that we must address jointly and decisively to increase our competitiveness.” In this regard, he stated that “business leaders are part of society and, as such, must contribute to its improvement and progress.”
For her part, Myriam Gimeno emphasized the Foundation's role as "a driving force behind all companies and corporate funds that are committed to innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology, so that they can become catalysts and examples for the transformation of the Valencian business sector." To this end, she concluded, "it is essential to strengthen collaboration with key players in the current entrepreneurial ecosystem, but it is also necessary to take a more ambitious step: to be the catalyst for all entrepreneurial initiatives, so that the Valencian Community becomes a national and European leader in the Foundation's four key areas: research, innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship."
