The Valencia Marina hosted the sixth edition of ftalks Food Summit, a leading international event on food innovation organized by KM ZERO Food Innovation Hub. During the event, held at Biohub VLC, participants highlighted how open innovation is transforming business strategies, offering new perspectives for addressing significant challenges in the sector.
Moderated by José Miguel Herrero Velasco, Director General of the Food Industry at the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, a crucial roundtable discussion explored the growing integration of open innovation into corporate strategies. Participants included José Guillermo Berlanga Clavijo, Innovation Director of the Gimeno Group; Pedro Ballester Fernández, CEO of Logifruit; Mary Carmen Vidal Tamarit, Group R&D Product Development Manager at Dacsa Group; and Raúl Martín Calvo, CEO of KM ZERO and Corporate Managing Director of Familia Martínez.
During his speech, Berlanga emphasized that the future strategy of Gimeno Group It covers areas such as Bioeconomy and digital transformation and Artificial Intelligence applied to process improvement and the management of infrastructure and services.
The round table was proposed by the Mediterranean LAB Foundation, in which Grupo Gimeno plays an active role, highlighting its commitment to promoting innovative initiatives within the food sector.
