Myriam Gimeno shares Nealis's vision on equality at the 10th Colloquium on Women, Science and Business

Grupo Gimeno played a prominent role in the ICEX Forum, a key event that brings together experts and professionals from both the public and private sectors in foreign trade. During the forum, the challenges and opportunities facing Spanish companies in their international expansion were discussed.
Guillermo Berlanga, Innovation Director of Grupo Gimeno, was one of the keynote speakers at the roundtable discussion entitled 'Open Innovation: Does Size Matter?'. Joining him were Juan Moreno, Director of the Bankinter Innovation Foundation, and Alejandro Deleyto, Strategy Director of Grupo Teknia. The discussion was moderated by José María Blasco, Director of Infrastructure, Healthcare, and ICT at ICEX.
During the debate, the experts agreed that open innovation is a strategy widely used by large companies to foster innovation, but that it is also highly applicable to smaller businesses. Berlanga highlighted Grupo Gimeno's 360-degree collaboration culture, stating that "it has led us to develop an open innovation model that unfolds naturally in our daily operations, since for us, innovation is deeply intertwined with our culture."
One of the key points discussed was how open innovation allows companies to access greater external talent, knowledge, and resources, accelerating the innovation process and increasing market competitiveness. Furthermore, this approach helps reduce costs, mitigate risks, and adapt more quickly to changes in the business environment.
The ICEX Forum also included various presentations, workshops, and roundtables that addressed highly relevant topics such as geoeconomics, decarbonization, digitalization, and e-commerce. Attendees had the opportunity to participate in networking sessions and meetings with Spanish economic and commercial advisors abroad, thus fostering knowledge exchange and the creation of new business opportunities.
