Castellon Plaza has awarded Gimeno Group The 2024 Business Excellence Award was presented during the launch of its 4th Economic Yearbook, an event that brought together more than 200 people from the business community and the social and political world of the province of Castellón, and in which UBE Corporation Europe was also recognized for developing sustainability policies.
Enrique Gimeno, president of the Gimeno Group, accepted the Business Excellence award alongside Myriam Gimeno, the firm's CEO. During his acceptance speech, he emphasized the company's commitment to "serving the public" and its dedication "to the pillars of innovation and sustainability." Gimeno also noted that they received the award coinciding with the 150th anniversary of the founding of the first company that gave rise to the group. Facsa It began in 1873 to develop a drinking water network in Castelló, and since then, the Gimeno Group has continued to expand based on a spirit of "service" to the people.
Grupo Gimeno, he added, “offers global solutions based on technology and sustainability, maintaining a balance between business activity and the territorial environment.”
The mayor of Castelló, Begoña Carrasco, closed the event with a speech praising the achievements of the two award-winning companies. "They are an example of what we want for Castelló," she emphasized. The event was also attended by other institutional figures, including the Regional Minister for the Environment, Water, Infrastructure, and Territory, Salomé Pradas; representatives from major employers' associations; and a broad representation of businesses from key productive sectors.
