Foz promotes a strategic modernization of its urban water cycle with a new management contract

The effective pursuit of a balance between business success and a commitment to sustainability is a constant in the development of the activities of the companies within the Gimeno Group. This commitment to sustainable growth was highlighted by José Luis Vilar, the company's CEO, at the recent roundtable discussion hosted by the Mediterráneo newspaper and BBVA.
A meeting brought together representatives from major organizations in Castelló to discuss key aspects of transitioning to a green economy as a profitable corporate strategy. This process toward sustainability, as the attendees pointed out, requires some initial investment.
Vilar agreed with this point, stating that while "it may be necessary to face expenses at first, the investment is recovered, not through the final price, but with greater efficiency and demand and a better product."
Regarding the legal framework, all participants again agreed on the need for it to be uniform, predictable, and to present fewer obstacles to sustainable entrepreneurship. In this vein, Vilar asserted that "sometimes regulations exist to do certain things, but the bureaucratic procedures hold up the entire process," adding that "the technology being developed often far outpaces the legislation."
The CEO of Grupo Gimeno was accompanied by the Director of Sustainable Solutions at BBVA, Daniel Navia; the Senior Manager of Responsible Business-Sustainable Solutions at BBVA, Pablo Penone; the President of the Business Confederation of the Valencian Community in Castellón and President of the Social Council of the UJI, Sebastián Pla; the Director of CEEI Castellón, Justo Vellón; and the Director of Innovation and New Technologies of Grupo Simetría, Francisco Vea.
