Nealis Infraestructuras boosts its construction and real estate activity with more than 80 active projects

Myriam Gimeno, CEO of Nealis, participated today in the 10th Women, Science and Business Colloquium, organized by the Rei Jaume I Awards Foundation, under the theme "A Decade of Change from a Nonconformist Perspective." The event, held at CaixaBank's headquarters on Pintor Sorolla Street, brought together leading figures from the scientific and business sectors to analyze the evolution of gender equality over the past ten years.
During her speech, Myriam Gimeno highlighted Nealis's committed leadership in matters of equality, a line of work that the company has maintained for almost two decades. For us, equality is not a trend or a regulatory requirement: it is part of our culture and our way of understanding business.” has pointed out.
Talent, leadership, and real opportunities
In the conversation, Myriam Gimeno highlighted how Nealis has consolidated a talent management model based on genuine equality of opportunity. This journey, which began in 2009 with the formalization of the first Equality Plans, has evolved to reach a total of 18 active plans today—some in their fifth edition—reflecting a sustained and cross-cutting commitment throughout the organization.
This approach has enabled progress in areas such as talent attraction, work-life balance, and professional development. Despite operating in traditionally male-dominated sectors, the company boasts a significant female presence, approaching 40%, which has been particularly strengthened in leadership roles. In recent years, the number of women in management and coordination positions has increased by more than 7%, driven by promotion policies based on objective performance and potential criteria. Furthermore, internal programs such as the LEVER talent academy have maintained a genuine balance in access to training, with female participation exceeding half of the total.
Reconciliation and co-responsibility as pillars of progress
Gimeno also emphasized the importance of the work-life balance measures implemented by Nealis, which have fostered greater shared responsibility through tools such as flexibility, teleworking, and adapted work schedules depending on the sector. These initiatives, along with ongoing awareness-raising on equality and the detection of unconscious biases, shape a culture that puts people first and continues to evolve to meet current challenges.
According to the CEO, this data demonstrates that “Equality is not only compatible with business competitiveness, but is one of its main drivers.".

A colloquium to continue driving change
The 10th Women, Science and Business Colloquium also featured the participation of figures such as Silvia de Sanjosé, winner of the 2025 Rei Jaume I Prize; the technologist and economist Laura Olcina; and the communicator and economist Rebeca Gimeno, in a session moderated by RNE journalist Pepa Fernández.
For Myriam Gimeno, sharing this space means “a necessary exercise in active listening, inspiration, and collective commitment to continue transforming organizations and society".
