FOVASA Environment Together with the Valencia City Council, they celebrated a children's environmental education day focused on recycling, reuse and sustainability, as part of the celebration of World Environment Day.
The activity, organized through the Waste, Climate Improvement and Water Management Area of the council, brought together numerous boys and girls in a participatory experience designed to promote responsible habits and bring waste management closer to new generations in an educational way.
The day included workshops, games, and educational activities designed to explain the importance of proper waste separation and caring for the urban environment. Among the activities offered were skill games, a roulette wheel with questions about packaging, crafts with paper and cardboard, waste sorting exercises, creative activities with organic waste, and a musical performance using recycled materials.
This initiative is part of FOVASA's commitment to environmental education in Valencia, promoting actions that contribute to raising public awareness about sustainability and the circular economy from an early age.
One of the highlights of the day was the participation of the characters from The Life of Things, the educational project promoted by FOVASA to bring environmental concepts closer to children in a simple and entertaining way.
Through characters such as Señor Tapón, Nicolata, Ana Manzana, Aluminito, Cara Cartón and Vidriela, attendees were able to learn what happens to waste once deposited in the containers, how it should be separated correctly and how many materials can be reused or recycled to start a new useful life.
The aim of this proposal is to promote values linked to responsible consumption, waste reduction and respect for the environment through educational experiences adapted to the youngest children.
The event was attended by the councilor for the Waste, Climate Improvement and Water Management Area, Carlos Mundina; the CEO of Nealis Water and Environment, Elena Llopis; and the general manager of FOVASA Environment, Juan Pablo Mateo.
During the event, Carlos Mundina highlighted the importance of these types of initiatives to move towards a cleaner, more responsible city committed to sustainability, emphasizing the role of environmental education in improving waste management and citizen co-responsibility.
For her part, Elena Llopis pointed out that FOVASA and Nealis understand their commitment to Valencia not only through the provision of environmental services, but also through raising awareness and disseminating information. She also highlighted the children's ability to transfer the sustainable habits they have learned to their homes and families.
With this event, FOVASA Medioambiente reinforces its commitment to promoting sustainable habits and raising public awareness, encouraging actions that promote waste prevention, reuse, recycling and care for public spaces.
The company continues to develop environmental education projects in Valencia that contribute to building a citizenry more aware of sustainability and respect for the environment, especially among younger generations.
