Myriam Gimeno receives the "CaixaBank Businesswoman Award" of the Valencian Community

The Tibi City Council has renewed its confidence in Fobesa for the management of the municipal solid waste collection service for the next nine years. This award consolidates the company's presence in the municipality and allows it to continue moving towards a more efficient, sustainable management model adapted to the needs of the citizens.
The renewal of the contract represents an important step in the continuous improvement strategy promoted by Fobesa, which will continue working to increase recycling rates, optimize selective collection and encourage citizen participation in the correct separation of waste.
One of the main focuses of the new contract will be the implementation and consolidation of the organic fraction, a key measure to advance towards the sustainability and circular economy objectives set by public administrations.
Currently, residual waste represents 86,4% of the waste generated in the municipality. With the new actions planned, Fobesa seeks to progressively reduce this percentage and increase the recovery of recyclable materials through more efficient waste separation at the source.
As part of the improvements included in the contract, a comprehensive renovation of the collection infrastructure will be carried out through the incorporation of new containers adapted to the needs of the municipality.
Specifically, the following will be installed:
These actions will optimize the service, improve the user experience, and encourage greater participation in selective waste collection.
Citizen involvement will be another key pillar of the new management model. To this end, more than 1.800 recycling kits will be distributed to households throughout the municipality, and awareness campaigns will be developed to promote responsible waste separation habits.
In addition, digital tools will be made available to the public to facilitate access to information about the service and promote more direct and transparent communication between the company and the residents.
The new contract also includes the incorporation of specific solutions for large waste producers and the implementation of data-based monitoring and control systems.
Thanks to these tools, Fobesa will be able to analyze the service's performance in real time, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure more efficient, transparent management aligned with the municipality's sustainability goals.
With this renewal, Fobesa reaffirms its commitment to providing sustainable urban services, focusing on innovation, the circular economy, and citizen awareness as key elements for building cleaner and more environmentally friendly municipalities.
The new waste collection model in Tibi will allow progress towards more efficient resource management, increase recycling levels and generate a positive impact for both citizens and the environment.
