Obremo He participated in a working breakfast with professionals and companies from the Valencian Community organized by European Quality Assurance (EQA), an international certification body accredited by ENAC.
During the technical conference, held at ADEIT University-Business Foundation, the standardization and certification of Criminal Compliance systems and reporting channels were analyzed.
Mª Carmen Garrido Bugatto, Compliance Officer of ObremoDuring her speech, she explained the keys to the company's success in this area and, in this regard, stressed that 'internal communication of the criminal risk assessment and compliance training for the entire team is crucial'.
Furthermore, he highlighted the increasingly common role of Compliance Officers as key figures due to their technical and cross-functional knowledge of organizations, stating that "this type of certification is a guarantee for the company, its clients, and other stakeholders." He added that "this is why it has been so important for Obremo to have been a pioneer in the energy and telecommunications sector, obtaining the ENAC UNE 19601 certification just over a year ago through the ENAC-accredited entity EQA."
Garrido also highlighted the importance of risk assessment in the different areas that make up a company, as is the case with Obremo with multiple business activities, and establishing "controls, indicators and, of course, a monitoring system."
She concluded her speech by reflecting on how “Compliance programs promote sustainability by offering transparent and ethical management of entities, as well as establishing measures against corruption and bribery, linking their role to Sustainable Development Goal number 16 which advocates for “promoting just, peaceful and inclusive societies.”
The event also included the participation of Jorge A. González, Compliance product manager at EQA, who provided a clear and concise presentation on the various regulatory standards related to Compliance and reporting channels.
