Torreblanca digitizes water management with Facsa technology to improve service efficiency

Alcalá de Xivert is preparing for a strategic urban transformation with the awarding of the contract to Gimecons of the urbanization works of Sector R-25, an intervention that seeks to improve the connectivity, accessibility and sustainability of the municipality.
The project, which will begin in February 2026 and has a 17-month execution period, covers a total of 53.378 square meters of urban land and a buildable area of 21.351 square meters. It includes various residential and commercial building types, with plots for UFH, EDA1, EDA2, and TER, creating a balanced development that combines quality public spaces with new residential areas.
Among the most notable improvements is the reconfiguration of the road network, which includes a new western road and a central street with a 16,7-meter cross-section, featuring a two-way carriageway, sidewalks, parking, and improved accessibility for people with reduced mobility. In addition, green spaces and pedestrian walkways will be created to enhance the livability of the area.
The project also includes large-scale hydraulic interventions, such as paving using SUDS systems, the installation of stormwater drainage networks designed for a 15-year return period, and the replacement of the old drainage structure with two new underpasses, using prefabricated concrete frames up to 2,5 x 1,5 meters. Additionally, the Cala Blanca ravine will be restored and naturalized, ensuring hydraulic and environmental continuity and reducing the risk of flooding.
The entire urbanization is completed with separate sanitation facilities, water supply, irrigation, LED lighting, electricity and telecommunications, consolidating a comprehensive and sustainable development.
With this award, Gimecons It strengthens its presence in the province of Castellón and positions itself as a key player in urbanization projects that combine technical innovation, sustainability and improvement of the quality of life of citizens.
