Foz promotes a strategic modernization of its urban water cycle with a new management contract

The Arenal beach in Burriana will host the III Open Sup Paddle Surf Race this Sunday, March 8th, for the third consecutive year. It is jointly organized by the Servei Municipal d'Esports (SME) of the Burriana City Council and the Burriana Padel Surf Club, and sponsored by the Marina Burriananova.
The presentation of the sporting event was attended by the mayor, Maria Josep Safont, the councilor for Sports, Vicente Aparisi, along with the vice president of the Burriana Padel Surf Club, Vicente Enrique, the manager of Tecninau, Juan Antonio Cinto, and the director of the Burriananova Marina, Pepe Guillén, who explained the main characteristics of the competition.
The mayor, during the presentation, stated that this competition represents "a great opportunity to continue promoting our beaches for tourism, hosting this type of sporting event which is increasingly attracting more followers and participants, because paddle surfing is a sport that has grown tremendously in recent years."
Safont also expressed his best wishes to the athletes "in achieving their various goals and in providing the people of Burriana with a truly spectacular show." He further announced that the City Council "will continue to support this championship. We have done so in every edition, because we consider its presence in our municipality to be important."
This event will bring together more than 120 riders, including a large representation of the team with which the Spanish national team was proclaimed runner-up in the World Championship last December in El Salvador, and which includes among its members Pablo Ania from Burriana.
Among other unique aspects of the Open, given its coincidence with International Women's Day, all participants will wear special commemorative t-shirts. The event is also part of the competition calendars for both the Mediterranean SUP Race Circuit and the Provincial SUP Circuit, sponsored by the Castellón Provincial Council.
In this regard, the vice president of the Burriana Padel Surf Club pointed out that it consolidates itself as "a benchmark in the regional and provincial calendars of this sport, which gains new followers every year, in addition to positioning the Marina Burriananova as one of the main entities linked to the practice of nautical sports in the province."
For his part, Vicente Aparisi expressed his gratitude to all those who make such events possible, and indicated that among the objectives of the municipal Sports area is precisely "the support and promotion of minority sports and facilitating their visibility and bringing them closer to the greatest number of people possible."
