Foz promotes a strategic modernization of its urban water cycle with a new management contract

Gimecons The company has begun pre-demolition operations at CEIP Mestre Canós, one of Castelló's most emblematic schools. Work has already started inside the school to dismantle classrooms and remove hazardous materials, preparing the building for demolition and subsequent reconstruction.
The works, which the Castellón City Council awarded to Gimecons last September, they have an approximate duration of 15 months and represent an investment of more than 4,5 million euros.
The new building will be able to accommodate between 250 and 300 students from the age of two and will include one preschool unit and three second-cycle units, six primary school units, and a completely renovated kitchen with a dining room for 200 people per shift. There will also be outdoor play areas and sports facilities, as well as a gymnasium.
The school will retain its current L-shaped, two-story building design, situated on a 2.872,37 square meter plot. Part of the building will face Tenerías Street, and the other part will face Avenida del Mar to the west. The layout will place the Early Childhood Education program, the refectory, the multipurpose room, and the administration area on the ground floor, while the Primary classrooms, the library, the computer lab, and offices will be located on the first floor.
In addition, the company will carry out various improvements in relation to the qualities included in the specifications and, among the most significant new features, it is worth mentioning the increase in the number of photovoltaic panels for self-consumption, the hiring of workers with difficulties accessing the labor market and the management of at least 30% of the waste in an alternative to disposal.
