Gimecons becomes one of the pioneering companies in the Valencian Community's construction sector to register scope 3 in the National Carbon Footprint Registry

Gimeconswith the aim of reducing its CO2 emissions₂, expands its calculation of emissions to scope 3 of indirect emissions, which generates the most concern in companies due to the complexity of its determination.

As established by the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITERD), indirect emissions are those related to procedures carried out by third-party agents who offer services to the company.

In the case of GimeconsThis registration and verification according to the UNE EN ISO 14064-1:2019 standard includes emissions from commuting, waste management, water consumption and purchases and contracts in the activities of building and civil works carried out both at its headquarters located in Castellón and at its construction facilities.

In this context, it is worth noting that thanks to the excellent work carried out by the Continuous Improvement Department of Gimecons, the company has become one of only two companies in the Construction sector in the Valencian Community, and the only medium-sized company, to have Scope 3 registration.
