The Dorsia Sailing Team of Marina Burriananova It undoubtedly represented a major revolution for women in the most important events on the sailing calendar, capturing the attention of all media outlets after achieving an impressive record in various national and international competitions. And now she begins the season with expectations of achieving the same success.
The team—comprised of renowned athletes, including Olympic medalists—begins its season in April with the Cantabria Championship in Santander. Following this, in May, they will compete in the 2nd Women's International Sailing Cup in Getxo. The summer season continues in the Biscayan town with the Basque Country Championship and the Spanish Cup in June, while in July the Dorsia Sailing Team will participate in the World Championship in Copenhagen and in August in the team's main event, the Copa del Rey in Palma de Mallorca. In September, the team will sail in the Prince of Asturias Trophy in Baiona (Galicia) and the Spanish Championship in Cádiz. Dorsia will conclude this busy season with the Final Sailing Tour in Santander in October, the Mundialito in the Cantabrian capital in November, and the traditional Regata del Gallo in Getxo at the end of the year.
With the renewal of their support for the women's team, Marina Burriananova -which has established itself in recent years as a national benchmark in the organization of competitions, training and sports camps- reaffirms its commitment to nautical sports and the increase of female presence in its different modalities.
