Nealis Infraestructuras boosts its construction and real estate activity with more than 80 active projects

Having a quality water supply is essential for the proper development of municipalities and the quality of life of their inhabitants and visitors.
For this reason, the good condition of the hydraulic infrastructure is key, since it not only prevents possible quality problems arising from the intrusion of pathogens, but also allows for the least possible water losses, a fundamental aspect given the ever-decreasing availability of water resources due to high temperatures and lack of rainfall.
Aware of this situation, the Sant Antoni de Portmany City Council and Facsa They continue to invest in the renewal of the municipality's water infrastructure.
And it is within the framework of the annual fee for improvement works of the Sant Antoni Municipal Water Supply and Sewerage Service, the council and company They allocate 10% of the Service's revenue to renovation and improvement works on Sant Antoni's water infrastructure. Thus, since 2019, Sant Antoni de Portmany has accumulated 3.480 meters of new pipes and has renewed another 6.830 meters of the network.
One of the latest projects undertaken by both entities has been the complete renovation of the drinking water supply and sanitation pipes on Cristòfol Colom and Sant Mateu streets. In total, 246 meters of drinking water supply pipe and 369 meters of sewer main have been replaced between the two streets.
These streets, belonging to the old town of the municipality, presented, due to the age of their infrastructure, multiple problems of drinking water leaks and breaks and leaks from the sewer network.
Likewise, the necessary opening of trenches in these streets to carry out the works, has allowed these areas to be provided with other services that did not exist before, such as an adequate stormwater network (245 meters), underground low-voltage conduits, telecommunications, lighting and gas.
The importance of these works has been compounded by the limited time available for their completion, since, being an eminently tourist area, work has only been permitted between November 2022 and March 2023, which has posed an additional challenge that has been successfully met.
The works have been completed with the installation of a granite pavement that is aesthetically in keeping with the old town and is highly resistant and durable.
