The La Vall d'Uixó City Council will optimize the water supply to the residents of the Colonia Segarra neighborhood thanks to the improvements to the drinking water network that the institution is carrying out in the area in collaboration with Facsa, the company that holds the concession for this service.
These works, which will conclude at the end of this month of March, include the installation of new connections in the existing pipes that will make possible an optimal distribution of pressures in the network, as well as a much more precise control of the volumes of water supplied.
The new connections include both the execution of civil works – such as the excavation and replacement of trenches or the construction of buried manholes – and the installation of new pipelines and new elements in the network. water potable water - such as sectioning valves, pressure regulating valves and control meters -.
Facsa will also integrate the pressure regulating valve and water meter into the remote control system by installing and commissioning a remote control station with a GPRS communication modem. This will enable remote monitoring of the system's control and operational data, as well as the management of any anomalies that may occur in the network.
With the implementation of this new action, which facilitates the early detection of leaks, the City Council of La Vall d'Uixó and Facsa continue to advance in the implementation of solutions focused on improving the efficiency and sustainability indicators of the municipality's water supply service.
