Myriam Gimeno shares Nealis's vision on equality at the 10th Colloquium on Women, Science and Business

The FACSA Chair of Innovation in the Integrated Water Cycle at the Universitat Jaume I in Castelló has opened its online course “Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs): Operation and Exploitation” free of charge.
With this course, the FACSA-UJI Chair wants to help water sector professionals continue their training from home, thus joining the solidarity initiatives promoted by multiple institutions in response to the COVID-19 crisis.
The course, which will be available free of charge for the duration of the quarantine, is primarily aimed at professionals, university graduates, and final-year students who want to acquire practical, effective, and efficient training in the operation of wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs), a constantly growing sector.
Specifically, the training objectives are to introduce students to the urban wastewater treatment sector, enabling them to interpret the different process and treatment units of a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), to focus on the study of the design criteria and, above all, the most significant process control and operation criteria of a WWTP, and to raise awareness of the most common operational problems in a WWTP, as well as to study the most efficient solutions and operating criteria.
As for the teaching staff, it is made up of Luis Basiero, director of the Sanitation and Purification area of FACSA; Javier Climent and Rubén García, project technicians of the R&D&I area of FACSA; and Rosario Arnau; Teaching and Research Staff of the Universitat Jaume I.
Finally, regarding the methodology, transparencies will be provided along with explanatory videos with a practical focus, based on the speakers' experience and knowledge to address the theory. Questions and problems will be posed at the end of each module to reinforce the acquired knowledge.
To access the free course, prior registration will be required at www.catedradelagua.uji.es where more details about the training content are provided.
