FOBESA renews the waste collection service in Tibi for 9 years with a model focused on sustainability

To understand the importance of FACSA-FOVASA Chair From the Department of Water, Waste and Circular Economy at the UPV, it is necessary to know that, according to UN forecasts, the global population will increase to more than 9.000 billion people in 2050 and that, with that population figure, almost three planets will be needed to account for the amount of natural resources that currently maintain our way of life.
In Spain, the Spanish Government's Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan indicates that with the current "linear" economic system, based on "use-consume-dispose," we would already need more than two and a half times the area of Spain to meet the needs of our economy. Given this, the circular economy has become a priority, and therefore, the FACSA-FOVASA Chair of Water, Waste and Circular Economy at the UPV (Polytechnic University of Valencia) seeks to promote this new, more sustainable model of production and consumption.
This is highlighted in a special report by the newspaper Las Provincias, which analyzes the importance of these types of endowed chairs.
