The Castellón Social Responsibility Committee has awarded four companies for their best practices at an event held at the Universitat Jaume I. Companies that received awards in the previous edition shared their experiences at the 2023 Awards ceremony. Intur Collective Restoration y Facsa.
Specifically, Carla Llorens, dietitian-nutritionist at Intur, and Pilar Soria, head of CSR at Facsa They presented projects from companies in the area of corporate social responsibility. On the one hand, Llorens analyzed how nutrition and sustainable food are integrated into the company's social responsibility initiatives, focusing on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and other key aspects of its internal social responsibility policies.
For his part, Soria elaborated on the company's training and awareness-raising activities. He noted that "the company's educational project has already reached 17.500 schoolchildren throughout Spain." Soria also highlighted other ongoing CSR initiatives in areas such as the circular economy and volunteering, and emphasized the company's commitment to education and knowledge, which is realized through its collaboration with universities.
Last year, IRC received the award for the Inturcrece project, an environmental education initiative in school cafeterias. Facsa, for its part, was recognized for its educational and environmental awareness project promoting a culture of water conservation and the rational use of water.
A broad representation of the business and associative fabric has supported the third edition of these awards, which are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
