Torreblanca digitizes water management with Facsa technology to improve service efficiency

The climate crisis, coupled with the current global situation, highlights the urgent need to address the needs of businesses in the Valencian Community by replacing some of their current gas consumption with renewable energy sources. This was the central theme of the Innotransfer event, in which [name of participant] participated. Hydrens y Biovic.
During the day, specific development proposals were defined with the aim of providing answers to each of the identified challenges through research, innovation and knowledge transfer.
In this context, Rosario Arnau Notari, Project Manager at Hydrens and researcher with the Multiphase Fluids Research Group at Universitat Jaume I, explained the importance of agitation in the anaerobic digestion process, the process by which biogas is produced. Secondly, she introduced hydrodynamic studies using computational fluid dynamics modeling, which examines the degree of mixing, hydraulic defects, and micromixing that occurs in anaerobic digesters.
Arnau also presented the parameters and criteria proposed by the university for studying these process units. He then presented the biological models implemented during his doctoral thesis in laboratory-scale and large-scale digesters, and explained the usefulness of these models. Finally, he highlighted the entire knowledge transfer process currently underway between the university and Hydrens.
Furthermore, Sara Milner García, from Biovic's consulting department, gave a presentation explaining that biomethane is positioned as an essential vector for the ecological transition and decarbonization of productive sectors such as agriculture, livestock, industry, transportation, and energy. During her presentation, she outlined the various technological, regulatory, and social challenges that Biovic considers barriers to decarbonization, as well as the R&D projects in which Biovic has participated to overcome these barriers.
This initiative has the support of the Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI), and the theme of the event is aligned with the priorities identified by the Specialized Strategic Innovation Committees (CEIE) of the AVI in matters of decarbonization.
