FOVASA promotes environmental education in Valencia with a children's recycling and sustainability day

FACSA and the Universitat Jaume I of Castelló have renewed this morning the collaboration agreement of the fifth program of “FACSA Scholarships for UJI students residing in Castelló de la Plana”, which aims to help students from the city to pursue their university studies.
The signing ceremony, which took place at the educational facilities, was attended by the president of FACSAEnrique Gimeno; the rector of the public university of Castelló, Eva Alcón; the vice-rector of Planning, Coordination and Communication, Modesto Fabra; the vice-rector of Students and Social Commitment, Inmaculada Rodríguez; and the head of the Drinking Water Service of FACSA, Manuel Breva.
During the event, Enrique Gimeno conveyed to the institution "the company's commitment to continue building the necessary avenues of collaboration to promote talent and facilitate access to university education for everyone," because, as he concluded, "a society with a good education undoubtedly has a guaranteed future."
For her part, the Rector of Universitat Jaume I, Eva Alcón, expressed her gratitude for FACSA's support of the students with these words: “Guaranteeing access to university education is a way of investing in the young talent that will transform the society of the future. These scholarships have always been important, but in this context of crisis caused by the pandemic, they are even more so because they make it easier for students to access or continue their university studies.”
For this edition, FACSA will allocate €22.000 to the scholarship program, which will be used to cover all or part of the tuition fees for undergraduate students at the UJI residing in Castellón de la Plana. The grants will be awarded based on economic and academic criteria, which will be detailed in the call for applications to be published soon. If the amount awarded exceeds the total tuition fees, the difference may be allocated to the recipients as a study allowance.
With this new agreement, the entities reinforce their already close collaborative relationship, since for more than a decade the company has participated in training programs at the University, in final degree projects and in joint initiatives such as the FACSA Chair of the Integrated Water Cycle at the UJI.
