Facsa The company, which specializes in integrated water cycle management, has reported a 19,1% increase in revenue in 2023 compared to the previous year, reaching €176,3 million. The results for the last fiscal year, as well as the performance of its main business areas, were presented.
Over the past 10 years, the company has doubled its turnover, going from 88,1 million euros in 2014 to 176,3 million euros in 2023. During this period, profit has increased by 62,5%, going from 5,5 million euros to 8,9 million euros.
Its main areas of development They are related to supply, sanitation and purification, as well as the construction of hydraulic infrastructure and other activities related to urban water management such as digitization of all processes, specialized consulting in computational simulation of fluids and the digitization and development of applied technologies, renewable gases and waste valorization.
The performance across its various business areas has shown significant increases. Among the traditional businesses, the following stand out: Sanitation and Purification which increased by €5,2 million in 2023 compared to the previous year, representing a 9,8% increase. These areas are responsible for treating and regenerating wastewater to prevent surface and groundwater pollution and protect the environment. On the other hand, the area of Strategic which has increased its turnover by 4,3 million euros, 5,2% above 2022. Through this area, the company manages water from its collection to the supply in homes, guaranteeing the maximum safety of its consumption through quality controls and treatment technologies.
Regarding the evolution of revenue in the company's new ventures, the area of InfrastructureThe company, which offers technical solutions and carries out the execution of hydraulic engineering projects, saw an increase of €2,4 million in its revenue. Meanwhile, the area encompassing renewable gases, the engineering and construction of water treatment and drinking water plants, industrial wastewater treatment plants, and the services necessary for their operation and technical assistance, among others, increased by €10,7 million compared to the previous year, representing a growth of 57%.
Finally, the operating profit in 2023 reached 13 million euros, with the opening of new branches in Andalusia and Madrid and the increased size of the infrastructure division being particularly noteworthy in this year.
