Foz promotes a strategic modernization of its urban water cycle with a new management contract

The Massanassa City Council has recognized the work of Facsa For their commitment and work during the DANA storm that affected the province of Valencia last October. At an event held last Friday, the mayor of Massanassa, Francisco A. Comes, along with other municipal representatives, recognized the company for its efforts in managing the emergency and its rapid response to the heavy rains.
Representing the company were Javier García, Deputy Director of Sanitation Operations, and Miguel Ortiz, Technical Deputy Director of Water Supply, who expressed their gratitude for the recognition and highlighted the work of the company's team, who dedicated themselves to minimizing the effects of the storm and ensuring the proper functioning of the sanitation and water supply network in the town.
In an attempt to restore the situation to normal, the Provincial Council of Valencia declared an emergency for the provision of cleaning and sludge and waste removal services in numerous garages and basements, both public and private, in the affected municipalities, and Facsa He assumed responsibility for the work in Massanassa.
The company worked in the town until February 20, 2025, with a team of 126 people who dedicated over 14.000 hours to cleaning and rehabilitating the affected areas. During this time, cleaning and disinfection were carried out in more than 60 garages and basements, using a wide variety of resources, including six mini-excavators, five sewer cleaning vehicles, four cyclone separation vacuum trucks, as well as various other equipment, materials, and auxiliary resources.
Thanks to this action, the effects of the heavy rainfall were mitigated and the restoration of service was guaranteed as quickly as possible. Furthermore, Facsa received support from the Valencia Provincial Council, the municipal corporation and technicians, and the project management team, which enabled the successful completion of the project.
This recognition reaffirms the commitment of Facsa with efficient water management, making its experience and technology available to municipalities to deal with extreme weather events such as the one that occurred last October.
