Facsa launches “Water First. Voices”. A new initiative that joins the actions that the company has planned to commemorate its 150th anniversary, which began last December and will close its commemorative calendar at the end of 2024.
Through this action, and accompanied by various media outlets, Facsa It gives a voice to the various stakeholders who are directly and indirectly involved in the management and consumption of our water resources, such as regulatory bodies, users, educators, and management organizations. It consists of a series of meetings where key water stakeholders share their vision of the present and future of water, and analyze and discuss the challenges facing the sector, addressing the consequences of climate change and focusing on key aspects such as the commitment to innovation and public-private partnerships.
This series of dialogues, which will extend beyond the year of the 150th anniversary celebration, provides a global view of the water situation in Spain, and at the same time, raises awareness of the importance of making good use and quality management of our water resources at a crucial moment for the future of this resource, both for human supply and for agriculture and livestock, as well as the most strategic industries for the economic development of the country.
The 'first swords of the water'
The initial meetings highlighted the participation of prominent figures such as leading local, provincial and regional authorities from various territories, as well as experts in diverse fields such as innovation, irrigation and mass consumption.
In this way we continue to nurture the commemorative campaign of our 150th anniversary: 'Water First', with which we aim to highlight the work of all the agents that make up the water sector and call for the collaboration of the whole of society to preserve and enhance this vital resource.
They also express their gratitude to those who have already participated in the initiative, as their experience and vision regarding water helps to better understand the current state of the resource and the path we must take together towards a new culture of governance and more sustainable water consumption.
In this way, Facsa continues to fuel the commemorative campaign for its 150th anniversary: 'Water First', whose objective is to highlight the work of all the agents that make up the water sector and to call for the collaboration of the whole of society to preserve and enhance this vital resource.
Another action undertaken by Facsa in this area has been the publication of the Study on the Water Management Model in Spain, carried out in conjunction with the consulting firm Red2Red. This report highlights the precarious situation of water resources in the country and offers a proposal for improvements to establish a new water management model that guarantees the availability of this resource for the growth and well-being of present and future generations.
