Foz promotes a strategic modernization of its urban water cycle with a new management contract

The latest edition of Destaca, the Valencian Community's science and technology knowledge transfer fair currently being held in Vila-real, is serving as a showcase for the new technologies implemented by Facsa to guarantee the highest quality of the water supplied.
As part of the technological knowledge transfer initiative, visitors to the Facsa stand will be able to learn in-depth about the technical details of activated carbon filtration treatment. This technology stands out for its ability to remove organic contaminants and pesticides, a crucial factor in areas with large agricultural lands that rely on groundwater, since the pesticides used by these large agricultural operations directly impact water quality. Activated carbon filtration also removes trihalomethanes, odors, and tastes.
Another of the water purification treatments that Facsa The company is showcasing its reverse osmosis system at the event, one of the most widely used treatments by the operator for removing dissolved salts from water. This desalination process using reverse osmosis membranes is vital for ensuring the quality of water supplied to coastal areas, given the presence of high salt concentrations in aquifers, whether due to chlorides from seawater intrusion, nitrate content from intensive agriculture, or the inherent hardness of the geological characteristics of the terrain.
On the other hand, the company is taking advantage of its presence at the fair to present #connecttowater. This is its own educational project through which, using virtual reality, the company promotes water conservation and seeks to raise awareness of the importance of this resource and the need to use it responsibly.
In short, Facsa demonstrates once again during this fair that it continues to work on solutions that respond to the new needs of municipalities on the path towards sustainability, always seeking to improve the quality of life of citizens.
