Nealis Infraestructuras boosts its construction and real estate activity with more than 80 active projects

Representatives of the R&D team of Facsa They participated in the 6th IWA International Conference on ecotechnologies for wastewater treatment, which was held these days in Girona.
During the event, various studies on the treatment, reuse, and recovery of wastewater resources at both urban and industrial scales were presented, with a particular focus on the efficient transfer of knowledge to practical application. In this context, Facsa showcased several projects based on cutting-edge technologies that enable progress toward the sustainable management of the entire water cycle.
Rubén García and Isabel Tormos, from the R&D department, presented the SADAR, LIFE AMIA, and 4SM projects. García explained that SADAR is developing a digital management system to monitor the absence of pathogenic microorganisms in reclaimed water in real time at wastewater treatment plants. He also gave a presentation on LIFE AMIA, showing how this project aims to achieve the reuse of wastewater for agricultural irrigation and aquifer recharge. Tormos, on the other hand, presented the 4SM project, which focuses on the optimal management of sewer systems through the development of a set of sensors and tools.
Likewise, Raquel Tamarit, also from the R&D team, presented to the attendees Bioferes - a new combination of technologies for obtaining high value-added products for agriculture from sewage sludge - and SYMSITES, a project that promotes industrial symbiosis through advanced and innovative technologies for the regeneration of water and urban and industrial waste and the recovery of value-added products from them, accelerating the transition to an urban-industrial symbiosis scenario and evaluating its social, economic and environmental impact.
During the four days of the event, there were keynote presentations, daily plenary sessions with world-renowned speakers, lectures, posters, and even workshops to discuss open issues in which we also participated and in which we also
This event has undoubtedly become an international meeting point for researchers, technology providers, engineering consulting firms and public services.
