Nealis Infraestructuras boosts its construction and real estate activity with more than 80 active projects

FACSA This week, he actively participated in two of the main events held in our country related to research into new proposals to promote the circular economy and facilitate the valorization of waste produced in the treatment processes of Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs).
On one hand, Ignacio Pastor, coordinator of FACSA's operations in Murcia and Alicante, participated in the Technical Conference on Anaerobic Digestion and Biomethane Generation in Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs) held in Seville. This event served to present the results of the LIFE STO3RE project, as well as its replicability at the Alcoy WWTP, where two-phase temperature anaerobic digestion has been implemented.
The event, organized by the companies Matergy, Civile and Promindsa, served to share different perspectives on circular economy models linked to the valorization of waste and by-products from wastewater treatment plants, in order to assess their various applications and future prospects.
Elena Zuriaga, Technical Manager of the R&D and Continuous Improvement area at FACSA and coordinator of the LIFE STORE project, attended the session organized by Cetaqua and the European LIFE program. This event brought together researchers and representatives from leading European institutions and organizations in the water sector in Barcelona. The sessions provided a forum to share proposals and discuss potential solutions for the establishment of future European regulations on wastewater.
In addition to leading the LIFE STO3RE project, which started in September 2015 and has allowed the establishment of synergies between anaerobic digestion and ozonation of wastewater treatment plants to achieve a more efficient, sustainable and self-sufficient management of resources, FACSA currently has other lines of research open around the reuse of treated water and its possible applications, among which stand out projects such as LIFE AMIA (LIFE18/ENVE/ES/000170) or LIFE SPOT (LIFE18/ENV/ES/000199).
