The AVE Board of Directors will meet for the first time in 2026 in Nealis, at Facsa's new headquarters.

First-year students of the Intermediate Vocational Training in Water Treatment Networks and Stations have visited the Betxí and Burriana Water Treatment Plant managed by FacsaThe objective of this visit was to see firsthand the facilities responsible for purifying saline water and to learn on-site how the equipment necessary to obtain the reverse osmosis water supplied in these municipalities works.
During the day, Manuel Ortiz, water treatment technician of FacsaThe staff from the Betxí and Burriana plants have been responsible for explaining to the students the most important processes for removing unwanted compounds from the water, and ensuring that it has the required quality.
This visit corresponds to the most practical part of the degree, which, in order to emphasize its educational character, has an annual plan of practical workshops and extracurricular activities that help to consolidate the knowledge and skills worked on in the classroom about the processes of assembly and maintenance of drinking water and sanitation distribution networks, as well as the installation, handling and conservation of all the operating, control and measuring equipment and other elements that accompany the water from its origin to its return to the environment.
It is worth noting that Facsa collaborated with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport to launch the Intermediate Level in Water Treatment Networks and Stations, a 100% technical, two-year cycle that arises from the need to align the real requirements of companies with the educational offer, in order to promote training more in line with the needs of the labor market and thus enhance employability.
