Foz promotes a strategic modernization of its urban water cycle with a new management contract

Facsa The company has achieved another milestone in its national expansion by winning a key contract in the Community of Madrid. Since February 1st, the company has taken over the management of the Valdebebas Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), a facility designed to serve the equivalent of more than 260.400 inhabitants, thus strengthening its presence in the region.
After starting the management of the Calypo wastewater treatment plant in the municipality of Navalcarnero in 2018, Facsa Facsa takes another step in its growth strategy with this new contract, its first with Canal de Isabel II, a leading company in integrated water cycle management. The awarding of this agreement strengthens Facsa's presence in the Madrid market and underscores its technical expertise in the efficient and sustainable management of key water infrastructure.
Capacity to treat 50.400 m3 per day, the equivalent of 20 Olympic swimming pools
Built by the Madrid City Council and managed by Canal de Isabel II, the public company responsible for the integrated water cycle management in the Community of Madrid, the Valdebebas Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) receives and treats wastewater from several districts of the capital, including Ciudad Lineal, Barajas, Hortaleza, and Fuencarral-El Pardo, as well as from the municipality of Paracuellos de Jarama. Currently, the Madrid City Council, which owns the infrastructure, is carrying out renovations to the facility. The plant's treatment capacity is 50.400 cubic meters per day. Facsa will assume operation and maintenance of the WWTP once the Madrid City Council completes the renovations and transfers its management to Canal de Isabel II, implementing measures to optimize the performance and operational efficiency of this expanded facility.
