The AVE Board of Directors will meet for the first time in 2026 in Nealis, at Facsa's new headquarters.

FACSA It consolidates its position in Asturias with the award by CADASA (Consortium for Water Supply and Sanitation in the Principality of Asturias) of the management of the Service of operation, maintenance and conservation of the Supply System of the Western Coastal Zone of Asturias, one of the two most important systems in the Principality.
This was created in 2010 by ACUAES (State Water Company), with the main objective of guaranteeing the supply of water drinking water in summer or high demand for the more than 30.000 inhabitants of Navia, Coaña, Villayón, El Franco, Tapia, Castropol and Vegadeo.
The contract—a two-year agreement with the possibility of extension and a budget exceeding one million euros—includes the execution of various works totaling over €150.000 for the adaptation and improvement of the Arbón Water Treatment Plant. It also includes the installation of a weather station, turbidity measurement probes for improved water treatment monitoring, a chlorine leak detector for worker safety, and markers or signs along the pipeline route for better location and protection.
In this way, through Waternology - the brand that brings together the digital solutions applied to the intelligent management of the water cycle of the new manager - FACSA will contribute all its experience and know-how in water treatment and preventive and regulatory maintenance to the new service.
From an environmental perspective, the service, which began in early May, will enhance the sustainability of its fleet with two new zero-emission vehicles. Furthermore, a carbon footprint calculation is being carried out to identify solutions for further emissions reductions. FACSA is also committed to using eco-labeled products in facility maintenance, as well as implementing an ISO 14001 accredited Environmental Management System, an ISO 50001 accredited Energy Management System, and an ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
In turn, as part of its commitment to inclusion and diversity, FACSA will facilitate the labor integration of workers with disabilities by collaborating with five special employment centers to whom it will contract work or supplies.
With this new contract, the company expands its presence in Asturias, where it already manages the meter reading contracts for Siero and its renewal of the meter stock and transition to remote reading, as well as the wastewater treatment plants in Cangas de Narcea and Tineo.
