The Segorbe City Council has visited the facilities of Facsa with the aim of gaining in-depth knowledge of the company's technological systems, as well as its involvement in the training and professionalization of the sector.
To this end, Vicente Hervás, Councillor for Water Cycle, Environment and Urban Planning, and Vicente Bolumar, Councillor for Works and Maintenance, were received by the Director of the Supply Area of Facsa, Pascual Maximino; Óscar Peris, Area Coordinator; as well as the person responsible for the service on behalf of the company, Irene Martínez.
The delegation visited the Telecontrol Center of Facsawhere company representatives explained to the attendees the tools they use to monitor in real time any incidents that may occur in the supply, as well as efficiently manage available resources.
At this point, the company and the city council have highlighted the importance of implementing a significant upgrade to the digitalization of the water supply in Segorbe. This will enable real-time monitoring of key quality parameters such as turbidity, chlorine concentration, pH, and conductivity. It is worth noting that Facsa has managed the water supply service in Segorbe for over 25 years, serving not only the city of Segorbe but also the outlying villages of Peñalba and Villatorcas, totaling approximately 6.500 customers.
In addition to visiting the Telecontrol Center, the council representatives also had the opportunity to learn in depth about the company's educational projects 'The Course of Water', aimed at children in the first cycle of Primary Education, and #connecttowater, for ages 12 and up, as well as the training classroom where vocational training degrees are taught, a space for practical learning that the company has enabled so that its professionals can transmit to students key technical and operational skills to develop as specialists in the water sector.
