FOBESA renews the waste collection service in Tibi for 9 years with a model focused on sustainability

As part of its commitment to quality service delivery and continuous improvement, the Burriana City Council y FACSAThe company that holds the concession for the drinking water supply service and the management of the sewage system in the town will undertake this year the renewal of more than 5.200 meters of pipes and channels, in addition to 230 connections in the town.
These actions are part of the 2020 Works Plan, which defines the renovation and improvement actions for these infrastructures.
Regarding the drinking water supply network, both entities will carry out the comprehensive renovation of more than 230 connections and more than 3.400 meters of pipes, "in order to progressively replace the oldest pipes in the town and avoid possible problems in the supply," said the Councilor for Public Services, Vicent Aparisi.
These improvements will be completed with the installation of a check valve at the outlet of the main reservoir and the construction of a storage tank for the reject water from the activated carbon plant at the Burriana 6 well site. A continuous chlorine meter will also be installed in the seaside village, a sewer network will be installed on the municipal plot located in the Arenal area, and loading points will be placed for public service tanks.
Regarding the sewer system, FACSA will undertake the renovation of 1.800 meters of pipes, as well as other elements such as storm drains and manhole covers. This work will directly impact "the improvement of service for more than 350 residents of Burriana," stated the municipal official in charge of Public Services.
“All these actions confirm the work we are carrying out to update the municipality's water supply and sanitation networks, with the aim of improving the quality of the service we provide to citizens and minimizing the risk of possible breakdowns,” explained Alejandro Boado, FACSA's Head of Service in Burriana.
Specifically, this year performances will take place on the streets Santa Teresa, Divina Pastora, Vicente Forner Tichell, Illes Balears, Bisbe Lluís Pérez, Santa Mª Rosa Molás, Mallorca, Sant Blai, Misericòrdia, Camí Artana, Ausiàs March, Pescadores, Comerç, Cardenal Cisneros, Baró, Oviedo, Padre Villalonga, Maestro Falla, Vila-real, Rosa dels Vents, Virgen de la Paloma, Ángel de la Guarda, Pizarro, as well as on Avenida Mediterránea and in Plaza el Pla.
Since the start of the contract in 2015, 17.700 linear meters of drinking water network and 7.635 linear meters of sewerage have been renewed, in addition to nearly 3.000 connections between both services.
