During his speech, Luis Puchades, director of Biovic He focused on his sector. For Puchades, the time for renewable gas has arrived, “although it has been a struggle,” particularly in this region. He asserted that Extremadura could accommodate around 100 biogas plants, according to studies conducted by this consulting firm.
This type of project has a great number of synergies with the agribusiness sector: tomatoes, wine, livestock, and olive oil all generate byproducts suitable for valorization. “We are very eager to start our first projects as soon as possible, and we always ask the authorities for the greatest possible efficiency,” he emphasized.
