Symsites demonstrates how wastewater can be transformed into a resource for cities and industries

Intelier Hotels & Suites has officially opened Intelier Malvarrosa Plaza, a superior four-star hotel located next to Malvarrosa Beach, aiming to become a new benchmark in Valencia's hotel offerings. The hotel combines design, craftsmanship, gastronomy, and sustainability to offer an experience inspired by the essence of the Mediterranean and Valencian identity.
The opening marks a further step in Intelier Hotels & Suites' growth strategy and reinforces Nealis' commitment to promoting projects that generate economic, social, and tourism value in the regions where it operates. The hotel is experiencing its first few days of operation with a high occupancy rate and a significant volume of international bookings, reflecting the positive market response.
Located just steps from the sea, Intelier Malvarrosa Plaza has been conceived as a tribute to Valencian culture. The project prioritizes collaboration with businesses, artisans, and professionals from the Valencian Community, integrating local talent into much of the establishment's design, construction, and decoration.
Among the most striking features is the lighting installation on the main staircase, created by LZF Lamps in collaboration with the Fallas artist Manolo Martín. Made with wooden rods, it was designed exclusively for the hotel. The presence of Valencian craftsmanship continues in the Manises ceramic tiles and in the art collection by sculptor Amparo Carbonell, which lends a distinctive character to the interior spaces.
The project also incorporates international elements, such as the handcrafted umbrellas that grace the rooftop terrace, manufactured in Paris by a firm specializing in equipment for some of the most exclusive destinations in the Mediterranean.
The gastronomic proposal will be led by Ricard Camarena, who will develop different concepts distributed throughout the different spaces of the hotel, progressively expanding the experiential offer of the establishment.
Intelier Malvarrosa Plaza features 170 rooms designed with comfort, light, and functionality in mind. Proyecto Singular developed the interior design, while Morph Studio created the architectural project, inspired by the movement of the sea and conceived to blend seamlessly into the urban environment of Valencia's seafront.
Sustainability is one of the project's cornerstones. The building holds DGNB Gold and BREEAM Outstanding certifications, two of the most demanding recognitions in sustainable construction, which endorse the complex's energy efficiency, responsible use of resources, and reduced environmental impact.
In addition to expanding the quality hotel offering in Valencia, the launch of Intelier Malvarrosa Plaza has created more than 100 direct and indirect jobs, prioritizing the hiring of local professionals and contributing to the economic development of the neighborhood and the city.
Occupancy forecasts for the coming months are positive, with days already exceeding 80% occupancy and a predominantly international customer profile made up of families and couples.
Iker Llano, director of Intelier Hotels & Suites, emphasizes that "Intelier Malvarrosa Plaza is much more than a hotel. It's a tribute to our land, our artisans, and our culture. We wanted to create an authentic space, connected to Valencia and capable of offering our guests a genuinely Mediterranean experience. Ultimately, it brings together three fundamental elements: hotel excellence, a positive impact on the environment, and an authentic experience."
After more than two years of construction, the project has been co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), with aid of 2,3 million euros.
